Database Split

I didn't want to post this yesterday for obvious reasons:

We have finally managed to get our database scripts right. I just deleted all records prior to 2009-11-01, because they have no server demo and therefore cannot be trusted. Those times will be reintegrated into the database when the new database layout is ready.
About 60000 times were removed.

There will be a flagging system. This means a record can be in several states like "cheat", "unchecked" or "temporarily valid". We will also display if the record is backed up by a demo or not.
If the user agrees on sharing the demo you can download it.
This means we are no longer deleting cheated times but flag them as "cheat". They will not be displayed in !top or on the website on default. You can display them by explicitly asking for them in the search query.

    That is true, but the demo system broke down a lot in those days. The first demo I have is:

    2009-09-04 13:11:43.000000000 +0200
    cpm/st1/^A3^Monk[2646][8544].dm_68

    I just added 2 month of safety margin. Those records that do have a demo, will be reintegrated with their demo. Right now, it's hard to tell which times have demos and which don't.

    I just wanted to get rid of those scripted times I can't denounce.

    OK, you convinced me. I'll let you change your password to your favorite password. But let me make sure first that password is stored in plain text, so I can try it on your mail account and your MSN account.

    We do this for a reason. This way it's better. Besides, you already know that password by heart.

    I can set my OWN password in my Bank Acount - it's not about seciuryty, it's about "no one can change the code now". Let me think aobut some easy to remember plain text password :-]
