What does "pmove_fixed" really do?

Hello. I come to you with questions about this command. Please someone explain to me what this really does. As far as I know, it changes the physics from fps dependent (0) to fps independent (1). I do not have a strong PC and I cannot get a steady 125 fps everywhere. I've read that pmove_fixed 1 is invalid for offline playing, but when I play with pmove_fixed 0 I noticed that all the ob's are random and I can't plasma climb for shit.

TL;DR: pmove_fixed how is it work

I found out what caused my problem; it was g_synchronousClients 0 that was causing the random ob's etc. Thanks for all the help guys. :violin:

lol. Just make a rules.cfg and exec it everytime you play offline, or through the shortcut. Alternatively, you could run two separate engines for offline and online with different configs. For the shortcut, you can type "C:\defrag\quake3.exe +set fs_game defrag +exec rules.cfg" Just change respective directories.

My offline rules cfg is:
seta g_synchronousClients "1"
seta pmove_fixed "0"

bind f1 map_restart 0
