From this round(2) forward there will be a point system made by Arcaon. Each rank gets a certain amount of points each round.
The points are added. The player with the most points wins.

In the team ranking the points of each member are added.
The ranks get their points as follows:

rank1: 100 points
rank2: 71 points
rank3: 50 points
rank4: 35 points
rank5: 25 points
rank6: 18 points
rank7: 13 points
rank8: 9 points
rank9: 6 points
rank10: 4 points
rank11: 3 points
rank12: 2 points
rank13: 2 points
rank14: 1 point
rank15: 1 point
rank16: 1 point
rank17+: 0 points

Are you fucking kidding? So Arcaon came with this shit because he wants to secure first place yet? This should be told BEFORE the DFWC started. GTFO with this point system. BTW So for what is round player regulation good for if you want point system.

edit: Ah round2. Okay. But it sucks anyway :snooty:

Aha, the third map has some shit random spacing on many of its elements.

Fuck building a map with flow, bring on the new age of "throw a bunch of random obstacles at the player" defrag!

If he wins all maps, does he deserve to have first place :?:

Thanks for organizing dfwc !

About this points system, could we know from which formula it's been set please ?

And even if a points system might be good, I think it should have been implementend since round 1 for balance purposes.

Cheers

Round(50 * 2^(((2 + 1) - Rank)/2))

In this instance, yes. The more general formula is:

Floor(h * 2^(((w + 1) - Rank)/w))

- h being half the score awarded for a rank 1.
- w is how widely the scores are distributed; i.e. a low w-value might give 60/100 points for rank 2, while a high one might give 90/100. 2 seems to yield the most credible rankings (70 for rank 2, 50 for rank 3), and a higher one would place less importance on getting top ranks.
