Sup. I was recently trying the tr1ckhouse-beta3 white airstrafe and wondered if it was mathematically possible. I know there was a thread over on opc about it, but it's been so long. If not, I wonder what is the lowest possible g_speed it can be made with?

Also, feel free to post demos of difficult airstrafes and/or styles of airstrafes. 8-)

One only has a tenth of the acceleration mid air. It's pretty much like strafing on slicky ground in VQ3 (not CPM).

Ohh, so that means that within the time you'd usually gain 80 ups (~0.7 secs), you'll gain ~8 ups when airstrafing? :roll:

Don't get me wrong here. This is not about the strafe bug.

You usually do a cj on ground to start the strafe, but you can't do that midair. So you just hold down forward. The airaccel applies to the start of the airstrafe where you accel to 320 u/s. Usually you are at 320 u/s within a second. Midair it takes 10 times longer.

I don't know about the strafe bug but you should accel just like on the ground. I can't say for sure, though. I didn't read into the code yet.

[csu1_a] neb (hard-airstrafe1-812).dm_68 I tried it since it looked so easy :D and.... failed :) Nice one! Its really difficult to get this far.
