The DFWC 2011 will have 6 rounds divided in 3 and 3.
Each round will take 1 week. The maps will be released on Monday.
Phase 1: Elimination
The first 3 rounds are elimination rounds. At the end of round 3 there will be 20 players left.
Players will be dropped according to this formula:
(Registerd players - 20) / 3 = number of players to drop each round.
Example: If 80 players register then we will drop 60/3 = 20 players each round.
Phase 2: Evaluation
The time of each player will result in points.
The formular still has to be tweaked. But it will look similar to this:
points = (best player time / player time)
This means on long maps a 8 ms difference results in almost the same point value
where as the same gap results in a big point difference on short maps.
The points of each map are then added up until the last round.
If it's a tie, there will be a surprise
At the end there will be a top 20.
