I started to edit a map with the features of the game "Portal". This map will be extreme long with lot of strafe techniques, weapon tricks, buttons doors, etc. The map will support both physic ( vq3 - cpm ). It will take long time to make it, so any help will be good. Example: testing the map, and giving special ideas for trick parts, and logic games during the game.

Cool! I was having the same idea a while ago but never finished any map with that style.
I can provide original portal textures for you if you want and if I come up with a interesting trick,I will let you know.

hehe started the same concept a year ago , too. but lost interest. gl with that :dance:

fueled had a nice texture set on dfwc2008-8

Wtf, I was working a Portal map a while ago (like... a year), with the original textures. :D
Didn't continue on it though, like every other map I've ever started on.

Btw, I would (will) wait before the new Defrag features are released before doing this. Then you will actually be able to use portals in the same way as in the game.

Btw, i think i will keep my textures, so it will looks more a "rusty" map, rather than more copy from the game. :D

I'd love a copy of the original textures from portal if anyone has them. I also have a portal themed map planned although I was planning to do something a little different than puzzles. If I make a 2nd one I may do a puzzle one :p

Keep in mind that copyright protected textures won't get past Pan.

I think as long as the map isn't being made "for profit" it would fall under fair use would it not?
