Phoenix-Run1 Released :)

Postby Phoenix » Apr 19th, '10, 6:00 am

If you play defrag check it out :)

Download here. Here's the readme if you want some info on it: readme

Any feedback is welcome. This map was started waaay back in 2005 and has been sitting idle for 5 years between my college and switch to mac I was unable to finish it until now. It probably could have looked prettier if I had spent more time on it but I just wanted to get it released and move onto my better map projects that are coming soon :)

Hope you enjoy it. GL HF <3

No sir :p I am aware of him though ... he stole my name! :p

I'm from Canada. And I've been playing q3 since early 2002 so I guess I might qualify as oldschool. :)

Here's a quick demo run-through of the map. Several of the jumps can be done different ways and I really butchered the last jump  . This is essentially the "fast route" as I know it.

Also note that both strafe sections were designed to be possible without prejumps so you aren't required to do them how I do in the demo.

You are the godlike phoenix from the beginning of defrag, right? I liked your demos so much. You was the master of 2xRJ, 3xRJ, 4xRJ, 5xRJ, ... :D

I've been around since 2002 but you probably don't know me. I have some very good stuff on the way that I think you'll like (if it ever gets finished) but until recently I've kept fairly under the radar :p. I think my total post count @ opc forums was 55 before it went down ... So i'd be very surprised if you know/remember me :p. I used to go by |V2|PHOENIX so you may have seen that name around on the servers back when they were mousepotato.

I think you're thinking of the Phoenix from France.

P.S. beat my oldtop cpm time on go-fast and you can have a cookie! :)
