After many weeks of work, we are proud to release DeFRaG 2.0 (beta 1411). We received a lot of feedback about our new mapfeatures such as the trigger_warp, target_speed and numerous other features. Now, it is time to release our work to the public.
DeFRaG is quite fun to play and we have a small but constant community. People who are new to DeFRaG often lack in movement skills and easily get frustrated. To open up the beauty of our mod to newcomers, we decided to loosen several DeFRaG settings and supply the community with an overall enhanced compatibility to other games such as QuakeLive, Warsow and Q4run:

- - Trigger_warp
- Automatic map database download
- Gauntlet-Hopping code
- Warsow Mapsupport (they also steel our maps)
Changed:
- - Raised basic speed to 350ups
- Gravity set to 760 for higher jumping
- QuakeLive's rocketspeed of 1000u adopted in VQ3
- QuakeLive's stepup adopted (22u)
- Quaddamage modificator raised to 4
- Banned Promode-physics:
Probably the biggest modification is, that we completely abandoned the CPM code from DeFRaG. Promode physics give cheaters great opportunities in order to accomplish easy to complicated cheat (you know who we are referring to). Only 14 percent of the cheated serverdemos took place in vq3. The other 86% of detected demos happened in promode physics. The only sane thing to do is REMOVE CPM physics from DeFRaG.
Finally, endless discussions in the DeFRaG community about cheating, bots, scripts are gone. Eventually DeFRaG can look into a cheat-free future.
